About Us

Slipstream Production Services Ltd was founded in July 2006 by Brian Cook and Lesley Howell. Brian’s background in technical theatre and event design, coupled with Lesley’s expertise in theatrical stage and production management, spurred them to create a company that would produce dramatic and exceptional events from concept to completion.
Brian and Lesley have built a number of strong relationships with suppliers and contractors over their years in the industry. This means that Slipstream has a broad range of contacts it trusts to work with, on whatever project they are undertaking.

BRIAN COOK

Brian began working in the entertainment industry in 1995.  Specialising in lighting production and design, his career has ranged from cabaret shows for the British forces in Bosnia and European Concert touring, through to Theatre Productions and Corporate Events. 
Brian is passionate about creating dramatic experiences that put a smile on your face!

LESLEY HOWELL 

Lesley was introduced to the world of entertainment at a young age.  Initially, she was on stage as a singer and musician before deciding that she had greater interest in the production side of things.  This has led her to gain qualifications in Production Management and Technical Theatre from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
Lesley has worked as a freelance stage manager on many productions,  in places as diverse as The Globe and Wormwood Scrubs.
Lesley is passionate about people, performance and bringing a bit of theatre into everyone’s life.

AMANDA YOUNGS

Amanda also started her career treading the boards until the age of 16, when she realised her passion lay in production.  She went on to gain a BA in Performing Arts at Suffolk University and then went to LAMDA where she met Lesley.  Since then, Amanda has worked as a freelance stage manager on numerous productions, including plays staged on the back of a Luton Van to Holland Park Opera.  Amanda’s experience will ensure a magical event.

Slipstream Production Services are members of the Productions Services Association and have therefore agreed to abide by the PSA code of conduct. This code of conduct ensures that membership to the PSA sets a company or individual apart as one that strives to carry out their business in a safe a proper manner.
